Psychodynamic Therapist, Couple Therapist and Clinical Supervisor
Catherine is also an experienced Clinical Supervisor, working with fellow therapists by providing a reflective space where both the joys and dilemmas of professional practice can be explored together. Supervision sessions are available on either a fortnightly or monthly basis, in-person or via Zoom.
Her experience includes working as a seminar leader and tutor on the Certificate in Counselling Skills course at Chelmsford Counselling Foundation. She has also worked for Essex County Council as a Staff Counsellor in Occupational Health, seeing council employees experiencing both work-related and personal issues.
Catherine is committed to on-going professional development and attends regular training events to keep up to date with issues relevant to her practice.
She also has a special interest in reflective and therapeutic writing and has undertaken training to run writing groups.
Catherine holds a professional Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (WPF) as well as a BSc (Hons) in Health and Social Studies and has completed the Foundation Course in Group Analysis with the IGA. She has completed her Clinical Supervision training gaining a Diploma in Supervision from ASIIP, and the Award in Education and Training from Chelmsford College. She has also undertaken additional training in Couples Therapy at both Chelmsford Counselling Foundation and Tavistock Relationships. She attended Tavistock Relationships Certificate in Psychosexual Studies in 2023/4.
Catherine is also an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
